How does the Free Trial work? What are the limits?

You can download SurfaceDeck right now for free with zero credit card required. Page 1 is 100 percent free forever. You can create buttons, trigger hotkeys, map OBS and Discord, and test the sub-5ms touch response on your own screen. When your setup expands and you want Page 2, Page 3, and infinite pages, you simply enter a license key to unlock your entire cockpit.

What hardware do I need? Can I use an iPad or Android tablet?

Any touchscreen that connects to your PC works. You can buy a budget $35 7-inch to 10-inch HDMI USB touch screen from Amazon, use a USB-C portable monitor, or use an old iPad or Android tablet via free screen extension tools like Spacedesk or Moonlight. SurfaceDeck also functions on standard non-touch secondary monitors with mouse clicks.

Are there any recurring subscription fees?

Never. When you purchase a SurfaceDeck license, you receive a perpetual lifetime license key. There are zero monthly charges, zero cloud fees, and all core feature updates are included for life.

How does latency compare to physical button hardware?

SurfaceDeck is built in native low-level C++ and Python architecture utilizing Windows WM_TOUCH and raw input APIs with sub-5ms touch response. It executes macros faster than mechanical spring switches with zero dropped clicks.

Does SurfaceDeck require an active internet connection?

No. SurfaceDeck runs 100 percent locally on your machine with zero telemetry daemons and complete offline air-gap capability. Integrations with OBS Studio and Discord run via local loopback sockets (127.0.0.1) and Windows named pipes.
